Bring in one news article or news photo. Make sure your news has an impact on the world.
  • Be prepared to discuss the "Tooning In" assignment.
  • Think up your own political cartoon. What message do you want to communicate? What methog will you use to convey your message; exaggeration, irony, juxtaposition?

9/28 We will work on the posters we began on Thursday, 9/21.
  • Poster: Illustrate a message (political, social issue, individual right, etc.)
    • Remember you want your poster to communicate your message clearly and quickly through the images and the words you use.

HUMANITIES C - Week of September 25

  • Handout "Comparing Islam, Judaism, and Christianity"
    • You may fill out the handout I gave you in class or you may write a paper that addresses the questions on the handout.

HOMEWORK DUE 9/28: Middle Eastern Mythology handout received in class on 9/19. This is independent research that can be done at home or during workshop. Start with the Encyclopedia Mythica if you are doing online research (see my links to the right).

  • Reminder: this is not a day I meet with you so the assignment needs to be dropped off in my classroom before the end of the day.
